I've got a question about software RAID 1. If I run RAID 1 on two drives and put ext2 partitions on the resulting RAID device, will there be an ordinary ext2 partitions on the individual drives? ie, if I shut the machine down and take the drives out, would they contain ordinary mountable ext2 partitions? I may be very confused. Danny.
