I have a linux box running 2.2.1 with quota 1.65 and raidtools 0.42.

On a machine with a raid1 volume which has been happy for a number of
months with an older kernel (2.1.119) I've upgraded to 2.2.1 and started
playing with quota support.

turning quotas on on a raid volume gives various errors such as invalid
device and suchlike, but the quotas do appear to go on, insofar as
edquota recognizes the volume. the quota program doesn't recognize them,
and the totals seem to be sporadically updated.

The big problem is taht running quotacheck on this device immediately
drops into a uninterruptible sleep, and then any other low-level disk
activities such as sync (including magic sysrq) ckraid and any further
quota activities (such as quota) all drop into an uninterruptible sleep.

Update. 'quota' appears to work better in 2.2.2, but this is likely an
illusion, running quotecheck on a device immediately dies as with 2.2.1
and takes sync with it.
