I have a couple of RAID1 partitions which I set up using the RAID stuff
that comes with Redhat-5.2. (I think just vanilla 2.0.36 raid + raidtools
0.50 beta 10) Now I'd like to upgrade to patch-1999.03.09 and accompanying
raidtools since I'm told that this version is not only much more
feature-rich but more stable than the version in the standard kernel in
spite of being labelled ALPHA. (Comments?)

I'd like to move to using autodetection of raid devices.

What do I need to do to upgrade? Do I need to backup and rebuild the two
devices I have to add persistent superblocks or is there an easier way?

Thanks,
