I have a need to write some large (on the order of 18GB) backup files to a filesystem mounted via NFS--as I recall, there is a large file patch available for Linux. I seem to recall some discussion of it here--has anyone used it and how well does it work? I gather that it's for the 2.2.x kernels, not the 2.0.x kernels, correct?
