Hello,
I've benchmarked a Power Edge 2300 I received yesterday and I must
say that I'm also a bit disapointed by perfomance :( One thing you could
try is a Kernel upgrade (2.2.9) with the new Megaraid driver
(ftp://ftp.megatrends.com/MegaRAID/drivers/linux/linux.zip). May be you'll
get better performance.
Also there are some options in the Raid BIOS, does anyone knows a
good configuration (write back, write thruth, direct IO ...) ? And is
Raid1 better on Mega Raid ? Our server is not on production and I'm willing to
go to Raid1 if someone says that performance is really better.
Thanks.
