Hi All,
I have a Sun Ultra 2 running RedHat 6.0 with all the updates etc.
I have successfully been running RAID5 on it with the following:
Sun D1000 with 12 4.2G drives, seperated into 2 clusters of 6 each... this
is on a single SCSI interface.

I mount the 2 md devices and have no problems.
To increase the speed, I added a second SCSI board and divided the D1000
into 2 6 disk sections... one off each controller.
The kernel see's them, the /proc/partition has them in there ok, but
raidtools will only mount one set of the 6 disks... When I try to perform
raidstart /dev/md1 it drops out and says error /dev/md1.
If I swap the SCSI cables, it mounts the other 6 as /dev/md0.
Is Linux's MD driver limited to a single SCSI adapter or am I missing
something?
I have now upgraded to kernel 2.2.11 and loaded the raid patch for it and I
get the same results... Raidtools is 0.90, the latest available... got them
at the same time I got the kernel and the raid patch.
Any and all help appreciated!
Thanks,
Dave
