from someone who just-learned-how-to-setup-mirror-disks. I stumbled
across the following:
- No kernel patches for 2.2.12 available (using 2.2.11 causes confusion)
- raidtools-19990824-0.90 contains old 0.90.2 HOWTO
- raidtools: What are the raid?.conf.sample files for?
- /proc/mdstat: What do the codes in the square brackets mean (mdX lines)?
- HOWTO: should probably clarify that a "mkfs /dev/mdX" is needed
- HOWTO: says superblock is written "in the beginning of all disks...",
however, isn't this done "at the end of all partitions..."?
- General lack of confidence because of all the debug messages appearing
at boot time and when running the raid tools (should be more concise)
Everything else was a snap!
