4MB/s is low.  hdparm -t /dev/mdX should give you pretty much the speed you can
get from one single drive, probably more like 10-12 MB/s.

And yes, -ac2 identifies itself as -ac1, it's a feature    :)

Don't be, I had to test it out myself too.  There's just nothing like good

Nice !

Use 4k blocksize on the ext2.  The chunksize doesn't matter much on bonnie tests,
but you might see a difference in real-world usage.  I'm afraid I can't contribute
with many tips there...  We could use another benchmark than bonnie...
