Hi,
Anybody knows where to get a driver, a patch, or a stable kernel update for
my Promise Ultra66 card? (I am running RedHat 6.1, kernel 2.2.12)
Right now I need to pass parameters (IDE2=0xD003, blah, blah, blah) to the
kernel everytime I boot, which causes the system to report "bad root
partition" sometimes.
I tried a beta driver Promise had made, but it did not seem to work with my
kernel, even after I re-compiled the driver.
If anyone can help me, then please tell me exact what to download, and what
to do with the file, because I have not been working with Linux for such a
long time...:o)
