RAID Swapping

I am using RH 6.0 (2.2.5-15) with raidtools 0.90-3.  On December 26, I
noticed a letter from Andy Poling to Jakob Ostergaard regarding swapping
with RAID.  The letter indicated RAID1 is unsafe for swapping (during
resync).  Can anyone shed some light on this for me?  Are there any
workarounds or actions I can take?  Thanks in advance for your comments.
