I first used the patche at
ftp://ftp.kernel.org/pub/linux/daemons/raid/alpha/raid0145-19990824-2.2.11
Although not for kernel 2.2.13 most of it patches fine, with 2-3 files
needing handadjustments and one: linux/drivers/block/ll_rw_blk.c needing
more attention as some LVM code has been inserted there which clashes with
the patch. I am not sure if i did "the right thing"(tm) but it all seems to
work.
Mingo's patches have the same problem (although based on 2.2.14) as they
don't have the LVM code SuSE put in the 2.2.13 kernel either.
If you want I can send you patches from SuSE-2.2.13 to raid0145 based on the
kernel sources WITHOUT reiserfs (I first applied the removal patch for the
old - non journalling - reiserfs code in SuSEs 2.2.13
As I said I am not enterily sure about the LVM code <> raid interference.
As I do not use LVM, there might be problems that only show up when you use
it, or even without using LVM, for me (raid-0, private use and I run a
backup almost every night) things seem ok.
