I have two disks in my machine: sda and sdb

I installed Debian GNU/Linux on sda with sda10 as my /home partition.
sdb is purely for raid uses. I created the equivalent partions on sdb
as are on sda. Is it possible to turn this sda10 into /dev/md0 without
tar-ing the data and putting it in a temporary location, then restoring
it to the

/dev/md0 /home

mount point later on. I succeeded at creating raid1 of /home with /dev/sda10
and /dev/sdb10, but I had to tar up all the data, create the raid, and then
untar it all back onto the raid1 mount point?
