If you change this to say "Software RAID 1, 4 and 5" (i.e. those levels that
might need to do a re-sync) you are correct.
There is no problem with journaling FS's and software RAID 0. I've been
using software RAID 0 (made up of three hardware RAID's) and reiserfs on my
fileserver for months now.
