I want to know if it's possible to do mirroring
Raid1 with 3 disks (all those 3 disks will always
have the same contents)?
If yes, how?
We are in a production manufacturing industry
and we must keep the downtime as low as
possible and keep the reliability and the fault
tolerance as high as possible.
I just want to remove one disk from the raid
for the backup time, after all the operations have been
properly stopped.
I restart the operations on the system, make the backup
and reinsert that disk into the raid after the backup.
With that, I have always, in all circumstances, a minimum
of 2 mirrored disks in my raid array.
