I just wanted to give you an update on the informatione regarding 3ware
escalade controllers:

Just got an email from 3ware stating that as of today, new firmware is
released and used in newly manufactured boards. The update to 5.1 code-set
should fix the "dirty shutdown" bug, it'll be available from the website
later today or tomorrow. here's the original mail from 3ware:
> Today, after a rigourous testing process we released the new 5.1 code-set
> to manufacturing to incorporate into the Escalade 5000 series products.
> In addition, 3ware will have the 5.1 on our website by the end-of-day
tomorrow
