With redhat 7.1 installed on my laptop, my adaptec 1480A scsi adapter is
recognized by the cardmgr but it cannot find my scsi drive. I dualbooted
to windows to check and it works fine in win98 so I know the wiring is
ok, terminator is there and its connected properly. Anyone have any
clues why redhat 7.1 cannot find an attached scsi drive. With redhat
6.0, 6.1,
6.2 and mandrake 7.1 there were no problems. Turn the drive on, boot the
laptop, and voila, there it was listed in /proc/scsi/scsi and I could
mount it and do all the usual stuff that you do with a scsi disk
drive????
