Hi!
To disable the extended translation is mostly usefull under
the ancient DOS-environment; it just wasn�t made to support
the > 512Mb-barrier.

differences in the way the SCSI-card adress the drive;
A lowlevel-format may be an unavoidable step. :_)
Mostly the drive will be able to function correctly if the boot-
sector can be avoided. (I used my ZIP-drive as bootdevice
until I had time to backup and Lowlevel format my harddisk.)
