I'm trying to get a WesternDigital WDE9100 drive working on an Adaptec
2940UW controller. I've installed Linux 2.2.0pre4 to get the latest aic7xxx
changes. Unfortunately, the drive is not working correctly. It may be a
cable or termination issue, but I'm not sure. I'm booting off an IDE drive
for now.

The Adaptec configuration has four possible termination settings:
  Auto
  Low ON/High ON
  Low OFF/High OFF
Low ON/High OFF (or the other way, did not write it down)

I'm using the 50pin internal connector. So far I've tried Auto and
LowOn/HighOn settings with identical results. The drive is set with
termination enabled and Termination power enabled. No other jumpers are
present (except the one setting the SCSI ID to 1). Does anyone have any
ideas as to what the configuration for the particular controller/drive
combination should be ?

Thank you
