FWIW, I do believe I have that version safely tucked away on my system waiting
for some other things to happen.  Currently, I'm working on some rather
sweeping changes to some SCSI code, but it's all slated for 2.3 at best.  When
I get around to releasing something, I intend to include updated sg.c code. 
Of course, you're free to try and get the new sg.c code included yourself, but
that would be difficult to do this late in the game for 2.2, so you would
probably need to wait for 2.3 just like I am.
