In general, yes, it's not too hard. First, though, you need to make sure
that your hardware is supported under Linux. What's the exact brand and
model of your SCSI card and tape drive?
Almost all PCI SCSI cards and most ISA cards are supported by Linux. So
long as the tape drive conforms to the SCSI standards (almost guaranteed),
Linux should have no trouble.
