Hey good people,
I think, it's the right way to send my question here. Maybe someone can
help or had any experience with that kind a scsi card and hard drive.
Ok. My story is here:
First, I have a machine, Pentium 75(there are no hard drives!), totally
usual, with no cdrom boot :(
Also RedHat 5.2 install cd is present. And..., I bought two scsi hard
drives with a scsi controller.
Those specific information is here:
Hard Drive1 : seagate 32430n (2GB)
Hard Drive2 : compaq 142292-001 (1,05GB)
SCSI conroller : PCI Fast & Ultra SCSI Host Adapter I/O SCUD 4230A
Seagate is now under windoze, and working with FAT32, compaq same.
The point is, {windoze sucks} i want to install RedHat Linux 5.2. to
seagate. Seagate should be the primary, with linux, compaq with win. (Lilo
boot helps?). Maybe the best choise... who knows, but when it comes to
deal with some winprograms, it could be necessary...
So, i want no ide hard drives, only scsi. But how can i do it with ... Has
anybody any experience with those drives and controller? Defenitely i'm
new to scsi, but i run linux soon several months, and..., i can tell ya -
It rulez!
I would appreciate any help, no matter what you have to recommend.
thanx,
marcus.
