No. Xcdroast uses some updated versions of cdrecord and mkisofs (have a look at
the documentation of xcdroast).

Comparison errors point to a defect on the disks for example; maybe memory is
corrupted and so on.There are much possibilities.

I own a P200MMX with 64MB RAM, an Adaptec 2940 (no U no W just SE) with several
disks (four) connected. My cdwriter is a Teac CDR55S (2MB cache) and my cdrom is
an Plextor PSI32TS.
While recording data and audio cds at 4x speed I started Staroffice to work on
some sheets and opened connection to the internet (netscape) and nothing
happens. I think you need a very slow system to have a buffer underun under
linux.
