If those default settings works when burning, keep them. ;-)
However, I´ve experienced major problems when trying to negotiate
syncronous transfer with some high-performance CD-burners at 20/40/80
(like the Plexwriter 8X) with scsi-adapters like I9100W and Adaptec
2940U2W. Irratic behavour followed by kernel-panic occured almost
every attempt to burn CDs. Changing the BIOS-settings to 10 and
disable wide negotiation proved successful on both adapters.
