As far as I understand it the kernel only finds the ISA-pnp cards
and gathers information about them. This information is exported
to userspace via /proc/isapnp. That's one of the sources that pnpdump
uses in order to produce the isapnp.conf file.
Am I wrong?

According to the information in /proc/isapnp the card can operate
with IRQ's 9, 10, 11 and 12, and with IO-port 0x140 and 0x340.

Hmm, did I say it worked? ;-)
I only got the driver and card initialized.
I didn't use the card thus far.
I have a Microtec scanner attached, and it is found during boot.
Now I'll have to install ALSA (didn't find the time yet).

But in /var/log/messages I found the following entry, which doesn't
sound very promising:

Nov 9 14:03:25 vdpas kernel: MESSAGE OUT, MESSAGE IN, aha152x: SDTR was rejected

I think SDTR stands for: "Synchronous Data Transfer Request"

Regards,
Toon.
