Now I've tried it and it worked worse :/ When I rebooted with the new
kernel (2.2.13) I was almost flooded off my console with these messages:

every second a bunch of those lines appeared. And I suppose that isn't a
feature :) Can my plextor-cdrom possibly cause this? i.e. could it be
soon-to-come-broken? I've had no problems with it before.
