hmm, that's interesting, maybe a possiblity. I incorrectly stated the
termination on my configuration. 
Chain 1 is terminated by the tape drive.

motherboard--->9G DRIVE--->CD-ROM--->TAPE DRIVE

I also have termin. power enabled on the tape drive. I'm not sure if term.
power is enabled on the other drives. I'm kinda fuzzy on how that works.
If I have more that 1 device set to term. power enable will that mess
things up? Which device is preferrable to enable term. power on, if any?
