Hello there,

I was wondering that any utility under Linux can allow drvier to read some
variable form a file during dirver initialization stage? If there is, what
is the utility can be used in the driver initialization stage to talk with a
user or driver configuration or system configuration file?

Under Solaris, there is a driver configuration file from which user can
modify some parameters. Driver can use new parameters from this
configuration file on next boot. Say a driver called "ahba" has a
configuration file "ahba.conf" associated with. Parameters in "ahba.conf"
can be changed by user so it will effect on next boot when driver picked up
the new parameter through system call.

Many thanks!
