Hi all, I sent this message inadvertently without a subject, so here it is again. I am running Linux (kernel 2.2.14) on a Compaq Presario 1825 laptop with an Iomega PCMCIA SCSI Host adapter. cardctl ident returns the following: Socket 0: product info: "Adaptec, Inc.", "APA-1460 SCSI Host Adapter", "Version 0.01" manfid: 0x012f, 0x0002 The relevant portion of the /var/log/messages is: Jul 8 15:02:34 dave cardmgr[390]: executing: 'modprobe aha152x_cs' Jul 8 15:02:35 dave kernel: aha152x: processing commandline: ok Jul 8 15:02:35 dave kernel: aha152x: BIOS test: passed, detected 1 controller(s) Jul 8 15:02:35 dave kernel: aha152x0: vital data: PORTBASE=0x340, IRQ=9, SCSI ID=7, reconnect=enabled, parity=enabled, synchronous=disabled, delay=100, extended translation=disabled Jul 8 15:02:35 dave kernel: aha152x: trying software interrupt, ok. I presume this would be accomplished by means of command-line parameters in the startup scripts. Can I do what I'm trying to do? If so, where is the procedure documented? Any pointers/enlightenment, etc, would be greatly appreciated. - To unsubscribe from this list: send the line "unsubscribe linux-scsi" in the body of a message to [EMAIL PROTECTED]
