Hello,all

     I want to configure my second serial port /dev/ttyS1 so that I can use
HyperTerminal in Win98. I have configure it both in /etc/rc.d/rc.serial and
/etc/inittab correctly. Here are my settings:

****/etc/inittab***

7:2345:respawn:/sbin/getty -t 60 ttyS1 DT9600 vt100

****/etc/rc.d/rc.serial***

STD_FLAGS="session_lockout"
SETSERIAL=/bin/setserial
${SETSERIAL} -W /dev/ttyS1
${SETSERIAL} /dev/ttyS1 uart 16450 port 0x2f8 irq 3 ${STD_FLAGS}
${SETSERIAL} -bg /dev/ttyS?

where "setserial" version is 2.15.
In linux kernel 2.0.36, Using HyperTerminal in Win98 is normal. But in kernel 2.2.X or
2.3.X, characters appears irregularly in HyperTerminal, that is, I can only see some
meanless characters.
Anyone have the similar question? Pls mail to me [EMAIL PROTECTED] .

TIA
dony
