Matter of opinion. Ted's been using the #defines, so I've been doing
the same.

You're right. But he is the maintainer nonetheless, and he is
listed in the CREDITS. I'll send him a patch. :-)

Much like Linus, he's very busy and I've found response times
to be lengthy, unless he's actually working on the driver. Which
he isn't I don't think since I sent him some patches recently
and he said he'd queue them.
