Had exactly the same problem, under the same environment (Card/Kernel).
Get the latest EEPro 100 driver from Donald's site
http://cesdis.gsfc.nasa.gov/linux/drivers/eepro100.html
copy them in a 2.0.35 tree, and rebuild your kernel,
this solved the crash, the reentrancy still occurs, but it just prints
an error in the logs it doesn't crash the machines anymore,
