Hello I fired up Kernel 2.2.0-pre5 on a Compaq 1600R and got a message
that said to send mail here. Below is a description of the machine and
then the dmesg output after boot.
It is a Compaq 1600R with 2 450MHz Pentium II processors and 384 Megs of
Ram. It has an onboard Compaq Netflex ethernetcard, using the tlan driver.
It also has 2 onboard NCR53c876 scsi controlers, but there are no drives
attached to these. There is also a DPT SmarRAID IV controller installed
running a mirror with 2 drives. In the compaq setup I selected NT5.0 as
the OS type. This has worked fine before, on 2.0 boxes. The distro is a
modifed RH5.2 setup. Kernel 2.0.36 runs great, 2.2.0pre4&5 seem to run
ok. If there is anything else I can go to help let me know. Here is the
dmesg output:
