I administer just such a box and it uses an Adaptec AIC-7890 SCSI
controller that works just fine in U2W. I am running version 5.1.7 of
the aic7xxx driver on linux 2.0.36 (I am using RH's
kernel-2.0.36-3.i386.rpm; I believe this also contains Cox's pre-37
patch amoung others). I have not recompiled this for SMP but I was
thinking of creating an SMP SRPM when I get the chance to recompile
it.
