I only run Slackware on servers. Red Hat is too DEU (Dumb End User) for
such a task, and it runs like a rock. I run very high traffic web-servers
without issue on Slackware. The last one I put up, which has been up for
120+ days (Not too long, but it is a new box), on a dual 400 mHz, 2.0.36. I
wouldn't follow the advice of anyone who has anything negative to say about
a distribution...
