the older pentium MMX chips have always blown away the bogomips
calculations.  They generally show up as 2x the base clock rate,
for reasons I have not looked into.  IE a P5/MMX notebook (233mhz)
here shows 466 bogomips, while my xeon machine shows 400 per 
processor.

But believe me, the PII/400 will blow the P5/233/mmx right off the
motherboard.  :)
