I had a problem in 2.0.36 were a process would completely lock and not be able to be killed. Examining dmesg would show either a SCSI bus timeout or some other SCSI related error. One time crond spun out of control and launched 45 or so sub processes. i have an Adaptec 2940 and a dual PPro 200. I'm wondering if these are common symptons and if so maybe some common solutions.
