Peter,

re: multiheaded workstation-server
I agree with Tom W. I have recently installed the
accelleratedX server and have a QUAD XEON system
running with the MATROX G100 4-monitor card which
only uses 1 PCI slot.
XOSVIEW
I originally started with Kernel 2.0.36 and when using
XOSVIEW 1.7 it only displayed a single CPU status.
But as soon as Kernel 2.2.1 was innstalled and built
the XOSVIEW displayed all four processors and four
separate interupt lines. Still XOSVIEW is lacking a simple
"quit" or "exit" button on the GUI. I'll read the documentation
in detail to see if I can obtain one but... it would be nice to
have it on the window. I did see the posted thread related
to stopping memory from being polled because it was
CPU intensive. (the "-mem" option solved that....)

QUESTION:
Are there any other process display routines that have more of a detailed
graphic history. Or would it be possible for XOSVIEW to record to a file the
CPU histogram statistics and observe them offline for analysis of a benchmark
process?
