Dear All, I am getting this message: eth0: SMP simultaneous entry of an interrupt handler on my 2.0.35 caldera on dual P2 450 MHz mother with 256MB ram ASUS P2B-D, and following hardware: eth0: (PCI) 3C905B under 3c59x.c version 0.99H eth1: (PCI) Kingston Etherfast 100TX under the latest tulip.c Adaptec 2940 PCI SCSI controller AWE64 soundblaster (ISA) some type of generic V90 modem (ISA) when under a heavy load with processing of few thousand files with sed, cp, etc. and doing a 'du' on the directory tree machine slew down and produced one message: eth0: SMP simultaneous entry of an interrupt handler on the system console, but before I upgraded the 3c59x.c from 0.99D to 0.99H in the similar load the system had looped into infinite number of the identical messages above and never got out of it. I was wondering if this could be the 3c905B problem or a general SMP bug? What should I do with this, is there a different group or email to report this kind of bugs to? Is anybody aware of a fix for the problem? Any help will be greatly appreciated.
