I'm not smart enough to know why this is, but I got around it on my
SMP PII-233 machine by moving my 3c905 card to a different PCI slot.
This caused it to assign a different IRQ, and the problem seemed to go away
(not sure if this resulted in any other problems -- havn't noticed any
though).
