Hello,

I've been getting the following kernel panic at night when Amanda is running
backups on my system (which means heavy disk, tape, and ethernet activity):

Oct 2 01:33:23 neuromancer kernel: Kernel panic: Aarggh: attempting to free
lock with active wait queue - shoot Andy

The system is a SuperMicro P6DLS with onboard Adaptec SCSI, Buslogic SCSI card,
Tulip (Netgear) ethernet, 128M memory, PII333, swap to a swapfile. I only have
one CPU at the moment but every new kernel I usually forget to comment out the
SMP=1 so I get an SMP kernel. I've had this error a few nights with some of the
latest dev kernels. (I'm running 2.1.123 now.) I believe that compiling any of
the latest kernels UP makes the error go away. I've installed 2.1.123 UP and
will see if it occurs tonight.

My question is what is the above message related to? Is it a swap thing?

Thanks,

tjb
