Heya PPL,
I'm not sure if this is smp related, but every once in a while
my dhcpcd will fail to renew my IP. Now I guess this could be a network
issue with the actual dhcp server (which I don't have access to), but
since other boxes on the subnet are still up I'm assuming it is issue on
my end. Here's the messages I get when it fails to renew my IP:
Nov 7 18:02:48 kevlar dhcpcd[152]: got in RENEWING state
Nov 7 18:25:32 kevlar dhcpcd[152]: got in REBINDING state
Nov 7 18:33:48 kevlar dhcpcd[152]: REBINDING: Lease time expired. Fall back to INIT
Nov 7 18:34:51 kevlar dhcpcd[152]: no DHCPOFFER messages
<I rebooted here... and still was not able to get on the network...>
Nov 7 18:40:29 localhost dhcpcd[152]: REBOOTING: timeout. Fall back to INIT
Nov 7 18:41:32 localhost dhcpcd[152]: no DHCPOFFER messages
