Has anyone had trouble using a eata_dma scsi driver, for a DPT2144UW, scsi card as a module, with initrd, on an SMP machine?? Two of my servers, both with SMP, and that DPT card, will fail in loading the module, if it is modularized, (in either initrd, or loaded by hand, after booting from an alternate device). This is with both 2.0.35, and 2.0.36 that shipped with redhat 5.2 Both machine have: FIC PN6210 mainboard (i tried ALL bios versions, no change) 128Megs ram Matrox Mystique video DPT2144UW (no expansions added) the other one, also has an Adaptec 2940UW, which boots fine from the module (initrd) Anyone familiar with this? I can get more explicit error messages that were reported, when the module loading failed, if needed.. Dave J. Andruczyk Linux System Admin Technology Group Buffalo State College
