Already done and done and yes it persists.

The lm_sensors readings now show that we probably don't have a heat
problem -- the system runs considerably cooler than my P6DLS at 300 MHz.
The reset switch connector idea is certainly novel -- might give it a
try.  The pattern of failure is just weird enough that a loose connector
or switch might well explain it, triggered by vibration or a random
arcover.
