Wanting to save some money I recently purchased a Allied Telesyn AT2500TX
10/100 PCI Fast Ethernet Network Adapter Card. It has a RTL8139 chip. I
also purchased a SMC EZNET-10/100 EZ Card 10/100 Fast Ethernet PCI Card
with the EN5030 chip.
>From what I have read, Linux does have support for the RTL8139 chip.
Unfortunately when I place AT2500TX card into my network it functioned for
about 5 minutes then all network traffic to the system that had the card
stopped. Do you have any ideas why this would happen?
Do you happen to know what driver I may try with the EZNET-10/100? It has
the EN5030 chip. Does Linux even support this chip.
Thanks
Michael
