Q2: With a dual processor system & 1GB of memory, will there be any problems in
modifying

  /usr/src/linux/include/asm-i386/pages.h and
  /usr/src/linux/arch/i386/vmlinux.lds

to obtain more memory?

Q3: Does the following console crash message mean there was a problem
with user's code variable tss.cr3 or is this a kernel variable?
