Sorry this may be a little late -- was just scanning email for good SMP
motherboard sugestions. Considering getting the ASUS P2B-D, or the
SuperMicro P6DBE, or something else. I'm setting up a system for home. I've
already bought 2 socket 370 celeron300a, which run 450MHz stable non-smp
at 2.1v for days doing continous compiles, etc.. Planning to run them
both at 450MHz once I get a dual-mb... Looking for cheap and/or mbs that might
support 133MHz FSB speed chips that come out in the future.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
Anyway on the subject of the Astor/Astor2 and L440GX+ or N440BX:
I've been using 3 Astor/N440BX combos for about a year now.
They have been working great, over that period of time been mainly using
2.1.X and 2.2.X kernels on them. Only gripes are lack of rackmoutability,
and a really long memory test during boot (when you have 512MB+ mem).
