Hi I asked same question yesterday, but I am not sure if it was sent correctly, so I want to ask it again: I got a SMP-machine running kernel 2.2.3 (and some days 2.2.5 to solve the problem), which got timeouts on nfs mounted filesystems. I mount some dirs from the linux box onto an HP box; the HP reports timeouts during copying large files. I tried kernel 2.2.3 and 2.2.5, I also increased the number of nfsd being started (/etc/rc.config) from 4 to 8, but I see only one nfsd process (on a 2.0.35 I see also nfsiod processes) while copying files. Is this correct or is their really a problem? Any suggestions?
