It's working! Interesting fact: /proc/cpuinfo lists CPU#0, CPU#1, CPU#2 & CPU#4. Why 4 instead of 3? Top does not show SMP in RH Linux 6.0 I had to set the machine up to boot from the hard disk. I also had to use the linear mode option for SCSI. Thanks to everyone who took the time.
