thanks everybody for all the tips i received in my first posting.
i have one remaining question and would greatly appreciate a source
for slot1 CPU boards:
1. Can win95 run on a dual processor board? i need to boot and
run win95 two or three times a month to run quicken.
2. a (or the) major cost is the CPUs. i have decided on ASUS
P2B-D which takes CPUs in the range of 233Mhz - 500Mhz.
vendors are not selling chips slower than 350Mhz. where can
i get (preferably used) CPU boards in the 266Mhz range?
