Certainly it'd be possible, and if I was still having bad crashes, I'd
probably do it. However, the hacks I have in now are clearly the
Wrong Way to address the problem, and restricting the forward movement
of the clock would be more of the same. Besides, if I completely
stopped the crashes, I wouldn't have anything to remind me that I
really oughta dig in and fix the problem the right way :-)
